[edit] Star Wars Lore

The Geonosian Bio-Lab was a laboratory used by the Geonosians. The bunker was also known as the secret Geonosian biogenics research laboratory. The hidden bunker on Yavin 4 was commonly used to mutate many creatures such as the Acklay. The mutated creatures were sent to the Geonosian Execution Arena to execute prisoners on Geonosis. A rumor states that a vicious mutated acklay was released by the Geonosians on Yavin 4 close to the laboratory, possibly as a deterrent to prying eyes.

During the Galactic Civil War, Bothan spies intercepted transmissions from an Imperial officer named Lt. Harmon Vintollo on Kaadara and an undercover Rebel operative in a hotel in Tyrena named Teraeza Furloti. They both spoke of a hidden bio-genics lab run by the Geonosians. The information was later leaked to the Holonet.

Shortly after the Battle of Yavin IV, rumors floated around the Galaxy about this secret Geonosian biogenics research lab where Geonosian scientists were experimenting on creatures, mutating mainly them for use in the Geonosian execution arena. Other, more sinister creations such as mutated Kwi's and Klikniks with force powers were being developed for use. This base truly existed and was well hidden within Yavin IV's vast jungles.

Seismic events compromised the bases integrity, disabling the holo-generators that hid the entrance to the complex. The tremors also caused minor cave-ins, structural collapses and sporadic power loses resulting in mass chaos throughout the complex.

The bases security system soon malfunctioned. The sentry droids guarding the complex were rendered confused and proceeded to attack any unlucky adventurers who come upon the exposed laboratory. There were toxic leaks exposed in some areas and stores of volatile materials exposed by the earthquake. Large chunks of falling rocks constantly fell from overhead, not to mention the genetically engineered monstrosities that roamed the hallways.

It is not currently known what became of the lab during and after the Galactic Civil War. Even more rumors persist that some small groups of adventurers journeyed bravely to the very bottom of the lab to kill the numerous acklays that were lurking there, in order to loot valuable materials from the creature that could potentially be used in various weaponry.
