Early History[]
Born on the planet Byss, twenty-five years B.B.Y., Ijai Teer was raised to be a normal Imperial citizen on the Emperor's favorite planet. Once at the age of sixteen, he joined the Corulag Military Academy and was recognized as a brilliant tactician. A year after joining, Lord Vader visited the Academy on a routine check and felt a disturbance in the force. Darth Vader knew that he was force sensetive the moment he landed, and ordered that Corporal Teer be promoted to one of the force-sensetive training programs on the planet Korriban. Having accepted this great honor, Corporal Ijai Teer was given the privilege of possessing a lightsaber.
Finally after ten years of training, now at the age of 27, Corporal Ijai Teer died, and in his place rose Darth Malus. But to conceal his identity as a Dark Lord, he kept the standard military title, and was promoted to captain of the Imperial Navy. As a perk for being a captain, he was given command of the Star Destroyer Leviathan, named after a Sith Interdictor in the Jedi Civil War.
After the destruction of the first Death Star, Captain Teer (Dath Malus) was in pursuit of a small rebel fleet attempting to escape the Yavin system. Ordering his Star Destroyer to open fire, the rebel fighters protecting the convoy broke formation and attacked the Leviathan head on. Surprised by the reaction of the rebels, Darth Malus did not think quickly enough to order the crew to power up the deflector shields. Once the rebel fighters were in range, they opened fire on the Star Destroyer's tower. The explosion was large enough to start a chain reaction in the reactor, nearly killing all of the crew. After the immediate explosion, Malus gave the order to abandon ship.
He is believed to be dead, at least among the Imperial Ranks, but the Emperor has tasked Darth Malus with the order to direct his Advanced Recon Commandos and maintain the Executive Order 66. Since his voice cannot always be heard, Darth Malus has selected ARC trooper MANDO-1010 to be his voice for the elite troopers. Now his orders can be carried out from anywhere in the galaxy.
When news of a Jedi Master being spotted in the inner rim, the Emperor tasked Darth Malus and Malus alone to hunt down and kill the traitor, Lekk Terlex. Malus had hunted him to Illum where Lekk had exiled himself to. In an arrogant attempt to strike the jedi master down swiftly, Malus paid no attention to the power of the light side of the force on the planet, where he was at a severe disadvantage. Before he could raise his lightsaber, he found Lekk's lightsaber plunged through his heart. Shocked and dying, Malus had fallen to the Jedi Master Terlex. He had failed.
