The Imperial Guard TIE Interceptor is a quest reward for completing a series of quests from the Civilian Protection Guild at the Kashyyyk space station. This starfighter is identical to the TIE Interceptor in all respects except for 30,000 extra mass, winglets, and a deep crimson color.

Although the standard TIE Interceptor was considered the limit of what rank and file pilots could be equipped with, the Emperor himself invested considerable resources into creating a superior version of the TIE. This new TIE Interceptor continued the doctrine of fear with a deep crimson color reminiscent of blood. Although this fighter was far too expensive for widespread use, the Emperor's Imperial Guardsmen were often seen piloting this vehicle.
