A Medical Center is a structure for players desiring medical attention. While a Medical Center is no longer needed in order to heal wounds, it is a good place to look for a Doctor who could heal them for you. If there doesn't happen to be a healer in the Med Center, the structure will slowly heal your wounds over time. Camps also have this inherent wound healing ability, but at an even slower rate.

In order to remove or add cybernetics, it is necessary to visit an NPC located in major medical centers. These medical centers have 2 levels, and the NPC may be found on the second floor. This can be valuable for the unfortunate adventurer who accidentally gets an artificial limb when cloning on an adventure planet.

Medical Centers can be found in almost every static city. On advanced planets, the Cantina and Med Center may be combined to one structure, a Tavern, which has the benefits of both.

Player cities can also have player Medical Centers. They can be crafted by an Architect with Construction III and may be placed by either a Master Doctor or Master Combat Medic. A player Medical center requires 3 available lots, and comes in the following three types.

In order to quickly find a Med Center that has a healer inside, check the planetary map. Any Med Center that is registered by a qualified healer will have a sun icon next to the listing. This now functions properly. To register at a location, type /register while in the Medical Center. Players may consult the planetary map for occupied medical centers until the location is unregistered. This occurs if the healer leaves the structure, repeats the /register command, or logs out. For player cities, location registration will have no effect if the city is not listed on the planetary map.
