Structure management terminal

From SWG Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Every player owned structure has a management terminal associated with it, which can be used by administrators to maintain the structure. For some structures (e.g., housing) the terminal is an object in the structure; for others, it is implicit in the structure itself. The terminal provides two major options on it's radial menu: Structure Management and Structure Permissions.

This article describes the functions common to all structures. Specific structure management terminals include:

Table of contents

[edit] Structure Management

The structure management option contains sub-options to display status and to control the functions of the structure. Many of the options are specific to the type of structure (controlling the harvested resource for a harvester or allowing a character to pack-up a house). Other options are common to many kinds of structures and will be covered here.

[edit] Destroy Structure

The destroy structure option (/destroyStructure) stores the structure in a new deed. This redeed operation requires a fee of 50 times the hourly maintainance rate (paid out of the structure's maintenance pool).

[edit] Status

The status option (/structureStatus) displays a window listing the current status of the structure. This includes:

  • structure name
  • owner
  • public/private
  • condition
  • current maintenance pool and hourly fee
  • current power reserves and hourly usage rate (if applicable)

[edit] Pay Maintenance

The pay maintenance option (/payMaintenance [<amount>]) allows the administrator to add credits to the maintenance pool.

[edit] Set Name

The set name option (/nameStructure [<name>]) allows the administrator to change the name of the structure. The text color can be altered by inserting RGB color codes (e.g., \#ff0000 for red, \#00ff00 for green, \#FFFF00 for yellow).

[edit] Deposit Power

The deposit power option (/addPower [<amount>]) allows the administrator to add units of an energy resource to the power reserves. This only applies to structures that use power.

[edit] Structure Permissions

The structure permissions option contains sub-options to allow characters to use the structure in various ways. Many of the options are specific to the type of structure (allowing a character to empty the output hopper of a harvester or denying a character access to a house). Other options are common to many kinds of structures and will be covered here.

[edit] Administrator List

The administrator list option (/setPermission admin [<name>]) allows the adminstrator to manage the list of those characters with permission to administer and control the structure. The structure owner is always a member of this list.
