Taking screenshots in Star Wars Galaxies isn't complicated, but it can be confusing if you aren't familiar with such a thing.
First of all, you'll probably want to hide your GUI elements so you can get a full, clear screenshot. To toggle your GUI on and off, press Ctrl+Shift+H. You can always get your GUI back by pressing Ctrl+Shift+H again.
Once your GUI is hidden, hit the Print Screen button on the top right of your keyboard. Depending on your keyboard, it might say "PrtScn" or something of the like. Your game might lag for a second while the game processes your command. The Print Screen command will do two things:
- It will put the image in your RAM, or Random Access Memory. It does it as if you had copied the image. This way, you can open up Adobe Photoshop or another photo editing program and paste image from the clipboard on to a blank image file and save it in any image file type you want, like .jpg, .bmp, .gif, or .png.
- It will create an image file in your root folder, the folder in which you installed the program. The standard root folder is C:\Program Files\StarWarsGalaxies\. The program will dump the image files in this folder and will name them screenshot_XXX where XXX are the numbers of the screenshots, in order taken.
Also another option is downloading Xfire, which is esstentially a Instant Messenger like AOL or Yahoo but is designed specifically for gamers. When this program is running while in game simply hitting scroll lock& S at the same time will instantly take a screen shot while in game and automatically will generate your screenshots for you.
