The Ixiyen is a Freelance Pilot starship, which may be flown at Special Warships certification. It is a single-passenger heavy starfighter with a good balance of weaponry, mass, and maneuverability. The ship is widely flown as an NPC vessel by the Valarians and Black Sun pirates.

The Freelancer equivalent to the X-Wing, although bigger hitbox, 1 less gun, 2k less mass, another ordnance tube, and 5% faster. Nice to outfit with 2 level 10 guns

The "Ixiyen" (ix-Ehn) is designed to be a dominant force in the average fighter-on-fighter confrontation. It is also armed and protected well enough to be able to harry much larger ships. Although not operated in large numbers by any governmental organizations, it isn't for lack of quality and performance. The "Ixiyen" is a deadly opponent, capable of holding its own against most of the front-line combat craft currently in existence.
