Star Wars lore

The Woolamander Palace was built by the Massassi while enslaved by the Sith Lord Exar Kun around 3,997 BBY.

The temple was named by Alliance naturalist Dr'uun Unnh, for the pack of woolamanders nesting in it. Because of the crumbling structure and the violence the woolamanders showed towards Dr'uun Unnh, the temple was deemed of little interest and was left alone.

In 22 ABY, Jedi trainees Anakin Solo and Tahiri Veila discovered a device called the Golden Globe which Exar Kun had used to imprisoned the souls of the children of the Massassi.
